Valentine's Day 2008

Whoowee! We've just now recovered from an incredible Valentine's Day. Thank you everyone for letting us be a part of your special day. We had three times the amount of orders as last year, and once again sold out of every bloom in the shop.

I want to send out Kudos to my team who did an amazing job keeping the orders organized and getting them out the door. Our shop and delivery teams kept their heads about them as they worked hard to please over 100 couples this year. To Laura, Jenny, Patches, Sully, Omar, and Jean. I couldn't have done it without you!

But wait, there's more.....Flower Bar is growing at an incredible rate, and I've not slowed down to thank the everyday people in our world, on our blog. To Jake, Sharon, Edith, Nancy, Lennie, Sally and all the other vendors at Irwin Street Market, and to Mark, Steve, Renee, Deborah and all the staff at Hall's- Thank you!!!!!

......Looks like all that lovey stuff rubbed off on us for Valentine's Day :-)

Good Day Atlanta...in the studio this time

Flower Bar supplied the flowers for Good Day Atlanta's anchor challenge on February 13th. Mark, Sachita, Cheryl and Jeff each created their own arrangements on set, demonstrating designs for Valentine's Day, other than roses.

At the end of the show, we came in to critique their work and show our versions of the tulip, lily, tropicals and candied carnation bouquets. The anchors did a great job, and proved once again that everyone has fun arranging flowers (see info on our workshops!).

Thank you again to the amazing Amanda Leesburg for getting us the coverage. We truly appreciate you! Thanks also to Jan, Toren and the GDA anchors....we had a blast!
