Hard Rock Cafe's Annual Ambassador Day for Children's Healthcare

 Flower Bar was pleased to be a part of Hard Rock Cafe's annual Ambassador Day this year.  Each year, our friend Patty a.k.a "Sunshine" throws a big party for the Children from various children's hopitals around Atlanta, for her birthday.  She gives up her birthday to coordinate quite an affair, transporting the children from hospitals to the Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta where they can enjoy a day of fun. Volunteers, local musicians and sports team mascots come in to care for, and entertain, children from Children's Health Care of Atlanta, Egleston Hospital and Scottish Rite Hospital.  This year, we donated the flowers for the table tops and VIP Ambassador breakfast.

We did 20 centerpieces, each a little different. and wanted something happy for the children, so we included bright gerbera daisies, butterflies and birds.

 

Flower Bar worked in conjunction with Emory Village Flowers, which is located just down the street from Children's Health Care in Atlanta.  I now manage the day-to-day operations of this shop, and can take daily delivery orders through this business.  If you have a wedding or special event, you should still call Flower Bar at 404-641-0590, but if you have a one time flower delivery give us a call at Emory Village at 404-378-3900 and ask for Amber.  You will automatically get a free upgrade and discount on your delivery fee!

Holiday Decorating at COX Media Group

Here's a holiday decorating project at the WSB TV and Radio (COX Media Group) headquarters. We used a cherry picker lift to decorate the tree and hang the wreaths!

November Wedding with Bloom Floral Designs

One of the things I love about being a florist in Atlanta, is my network of other florist friends here. On occasion we help each other out on projects. I get the pleasure of stepping in to other people's designs and making them come to life...and i always have back up for my extra big jobs!

Tis the season for Picnics!

These sweet arrangements are made for an evening picnic in the park.  We used purple fugi mums, red celosia, star of bethlehem, yellow daisies, solidego and leucadendron.

Inman Park Festival and Raw Bronzing Studio

We are so excited to be in our new workshop digs, right in the heart of Inman Park.  This past weekend was the annual Inman Park Festival, one of our favorite days of the year.  It was also a good friend's and local business's one year anniversary...Raw Bronzing Studio!

Raw closed for the day, and set up for a Spring Break Style celebration. Festival goers enjoyed home made sangria, free suncreen spray-downs, and custom old school airbrushed shirts, tanks and hats.

Here are the flowers they ordered from Atlanta Flower Bar to celebrate one year of giving healthy bronzed organic tans to just about everyone in Atlanta! 

We also provided festival flowers for two local Inman Park restaurants, The Albert and Park's Edge.

Springing back into action

Flower Bar is back, in full swing! After a bit of a hiatus to attend to family matters in Las Vegas (my Mother has Alzheimer’s disease), I am back in Atlanta with a team of talented helpers ready to make any size project or special event beautiful.

Here are a couple of photos from one of our annual clients, Fayetteville
State University's OFC Venture Challenge, events.  OFC Venture Challenge supports Innovation & Entrepreneurship for young adults.

Each year we put together 70 flower centerpieces for their Friday and Saturday evening events, at the Georgia Freight Depot and Westin Peachtree Grand Ballroom.

STEP 1:  We used 20 buckets to hydrate 740 stems of roses and lilies and two cases of greens.

STEP 2: Drink up, my little pretties!!!!  Flowers are processed and conditioned

in our special recipe of preserves.

STEP 3: Arrange early enough to ensure the lilies open in time for the event

STEP 4: Deliver and Enjoy

STEP 5: Repeat with Red Roses and Caspia :)
